Raphinha and Lamine Yamal lead Europe’s top league duos for goals and assists

Barcelona forwards Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have been hailed as the most productive attacking partnership in Europe’s major domestic leagues this season.

The pair have combined for 19 goals and seven assists in La Liga, putting them well ahead of Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, who have registered 10 goals and five assists between them.

Mbappe has scored seven goals and provided two assists, while Bellingham has contributed three goals and three assists.

A report published by Mundo Deportivo on Monday said Barcelona’s duo were “without a doubt, the most productive in the major European leagues”.

Raphinha has emerged as a prolific goalscorer under manager Hansi Flick, while Yamal has made an exceptional start to the campaign and established a record goals tally.

Rayo Vallecano’s Camilo and Alvaro Garcia rank third among the leading partnerships, with nine goals and three assists combined. Camilo has scored seven goals and supplied one assist, while Garcia has two goals and two assists.

Manchester City’s partnership of Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki is fourth, with eight goals and two assists. Haaland has scored five times without providing an assist, while Cherki has three goals and two assists.

For Bayern Munich, Michael Olise and Harry Kane have produced seven goals and two assists in the league comparison. Olise has four goals and two assists, while Kane has scored three goals without setting up a goal.

The Bayern pair have, however, scored 14 goals and supplied five assists in all competitions, having already featured in four competitions.

Raphinha and Yamal have scored 22 goals and provided nine assists across La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Together, they have contributed to 27 of Barcelona’s 36 goals in those two competitions. Their involvement accounts for 24 of the club’s 31 goals in La Liga and four of five in the UEFA Champions League.

The scale of their contribution was especially clear in the match against Racing, when they were involved in six of Barcelona’s seven goals.

Of the 27 goals to which they have contributed, there have been four occasions when one player provided the assist and the other scored.
