Abu Qir Fertilizers register Ghanaian duo after international clearance

Abu Qir Fertilizers have completed the registration of Ghanaian players Gideon Kofi Kwaison and Prince Tweneboa after receiving their international transfer certificates.

The two players joined the Egyptian club during the summer transfer window but had been unable to feature because the required documents had not arrived.

FilGoal.com understands that both men are now eligible to play after their international certificates were received and their registrations were completed with the Egyptian Football Association.

Their delay in making their debuts was caused by the incomplete paperwork, which prevented Abu Qir Fertilizers from registering them in time.

The pair moved to Abu Qir Fertilizers from Ghanaian club Holy Stars.

Kwaison, 21, plays as an attacking midfielder, while 20-year-old Tweneboa operates on the left wing.

Both players can now be selected when the domestic competition resumes following the international break.

Abu Qir Fertilizers, who have been promoted to the Egyptian league this season, are 17th in the table with three points from one win and four defeats.

The club, managed by Magdy Abdel-Aty, are due to face Asyut Petroleum in their next league match on 13 October.
