Mohamed Kone: Mali winger joins AC Tripoli from Al-Mabarra

Mali winger Mohamed Kone has joined Lebanese Premier League club AC Tripoli from Al-Mabarra.

The 27-year-old completed the move on 20 September 2026 and will wear the number 27 shirt for his new club. Kone operates primarily on the left wing and is a right-footed player.

Kone arrives at AC Tripoli after one season with Al-Mabarra, having moved there from Malian side Real Bamako in September 2025. His latest switch keeps him in Lebanon, where AC Tripoli compete in the Lebanese Premier League.

The winger’s recorded competitive appearances include 14 matches in the Lebanese Premier League, along with two appearances in the CAF Champions League and one in the CAF Confederation Cup. He scored once in the Champions League, with that goal coming across 157 minutes of competition.

Kone began his senior club career with Real Bamako before joining ASEC Mimosas in January 2018. He later moved to USC Bassam in August 2019, with that transfer recorded as a free move. His time with USC Bassam ended in February 2023, when he returned to Real Bamako on another free transfer.

After his second spell at Real Bamako, Kone moved to Al-Mabarra, where he spent the 2025-26 season before switching to AC Tripoli. The move represents another step in a career that has taken him between clubs in Mali, Ivory Coast and Lebanon.

Born on 13 October 1998, Kone stands 1.71m tall and is listed as a left winger. His career has included domestic football in Lebanon and continental competition through the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

AC Tripoli have now added Kone to their squad for the 2026-27 campaign, with the Mali international joining after his spell at Al-Mabarra.
