Juventus beat Atalanta to end two-match winless run

Juventus returned to winning ways in Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Atalanta on Sunday, ending a run of two matches without a win.

The result in the fifth round moved Juventus up to 10 points and sixth place in the Serie A table. Atalanta remain 11th on six points.

The hosts made the breakthrough in the 28th minute when Francisco Conceicao opened the scoring. Juventus held their advantage through the remainder of the first half and for much of the second.

Gleison Bremer then doubled Juventus’ lead in the 77th minute, heading powerfully beyond the Atalanta defence to put the result beyond doubt.

Atalanta were unable to find a way through Juventus’ defence as the home side secured a clean sheet and all three points.

Juventus had drawn 1-1 with Milan in their previous league match before suffering a 3-2 defeat by Sassuolo. Victory over Atalanta, played on Sunday, 20 September 2026, halted that recent setback and restored their winning form in the Italian top flight.
