Djene Dakonam is a doubt for Togo’s opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi after leaving Getafe’s match with Malaga in the 65th minute.

The Togo captain appeared to ask to be substituted during the seventh round of La Liga fixture at the Coliseum. With the score still 0-0, Dakonam made clear signs towards his coach in the 63rd minute, requesting to come off.
