African football transfer news: Adem Alilet joins Esperance Sportive de Tunis

10:55 – Adem Alilet completes move to Esperance Sportive de Tunis

Esperance Sportive de Tunis have confirmed the signing of Algeria central defender Adem Alilet on a free transfer. The player has agreed a two-year contract with the Tunisian club, keeping him there until June 2028.

Alilet joins after playing for Al Ittihad in the Libyan Premier League and will now begin a new chapter with the club from the Tunisian capital.

10:40 – Alex Petang signs for Moralo CP

Moralo CP have announced the arrival of Cameroon striker Alex Petang for the 2026/27 season. The 19-year-old moves from Hercules de Alicante CF, where he played for the reserve team.

Petang came through the TDHA Academy in Douala before continuing his development in Spain. He is noted for his strength, movement and ability to attack space, and is expected to add to Moralo CP’s attacking options.

Cameroon attacking midfielder Daniel Junior Nguh has renewed his contract with Al Hurriya Sport Club, who play in the Syrian top flight.

The 22-year-old will remain with HSC until the end of the 2026/27 season. The extension reflects the confidence the club has shown in Nguh, who will continue seeking to contribute to the team’s results and maintain his consistency in Syria.

According to Nicolo Schira, VfB Stuttgart tried to sign Mohamed Ali Zoma during the summer transfer window, but the Italian striker of Ivorian origin chose to stay at FC Nuremberg.

Zoma has continued to benefit from the confidence of his manager, Miroslav Klose. Schira also reports that FC Nuremberg turned down a €20m offer from English club Hull City for the 22-year-old.

Zoma is valued at €8m by Transfermarkt and his current contract runs until 30 June 2029.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC have completed the signing of Esapa Junior Osong, whose full name is Detlef Esapa Osong. The Cameroon-born forward has signed a one-year deal with the Scottish club.

The move gives the 21-year-old another opportunity to develop and take on a new challenge. Osong, who was trained at Nottingham Forest, is valued at €150,000 and will strengthen Inverness CT’s attacking department.

Accra Lions have added Mali striker Abdoulaye Diarra, also known as “Ablaye”, to their squad. The 20-year-old joins from AS Bakaridjan after a spell with Sheriff Tiraspol in Europe in 2025.

Standing 1.99m tall, Diarra offers strength, pace and mobility. His qualities as a target man could provide a different dimension to the Ghanaian club’s attack. He is valued at €100,000.

Benin defender Prince Agbanou has left Coton FC for US Ben Guerdane in Tunisia. The 20-year-old emerged as one of the revelations of last season and will now look to reproduce those performances in a new league.

US Ben Guerdane confirmed the transfer on its Instagram account. Agbanou’s strength in duels and consistency have made him an important addition to the Tunisian side.
