Juventus consider free-agent goalkeepers after Kamil Grabara injury

Juventus are exploring the signing of a free-agent goalkeeper after Kamil Grabara suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

The club previously confirmed that Grabara had torn his cruciate ligament. Italian publication Calcio Mercato reports that Juventus are now looking for another goalkeeper to add to their squad.

Former Juventus goalkeeper Neto and former Paris Saint-Germain keeper Sergio Rico are understood to be the leading candidates.

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Grabara will require surgery and is expected to miss the remainder of the current season.

The Poland international had made an impressive start to life at Juventus. He made his first appearance for the club against Nijmegen in the Europa League, setting up the opening goal for teammate Nicolas Gonzalez.

Juventus went on to win the match 5-0 in the opening fixture of the Europa League league phase.

Grabara, 27, joined Juventus from Wolfsburg on loan last summer, with the agreement running until the end of the current season.
