FC Versailles sign Cape Verde midfielder Kenny Rocha Santos as free agent

FC Versailles have signed Cape Verde central midfielder Kenny Rocha Santos as a free agent, completing the 26-year-old’s move to the Ligue 3 club.

Rocha Santos joins Versailles after leaving FC Rouen 1899 in July and spending the intervening period without a club. The transfer was completed on 19 September 2026, with the midfielder arriving before the new Ligue 3 campaign had progressed beyond its opening fixture.

The move gives Versailles an experienced addition in central midfield, with Rocha Santos listed at 26 and valued at €500,000. He is right-footed and stands 1.74m tall.

Rocha Santos spent the 2025-26 season with Rouen, having joined the club from Paris 13 Atletico on a free transfer in July 2025. He subsequently became a free agent at the start of July 2026 before securing his next club with Versailles.

His career has also included spells with AEZ Zakaki in Cyprus, Belgian club KV Oostende and AS Nancy. He joined Oostende from Nancy on a free transfer in July 2021, before moving to AEZ Zakaki in September 2023. After leaving the Cypriot side, he returned to France with Paris 13 Atletico in October 2024.

The midfielder began his senior career with AS Nancy after progressing through the Saint-Etienne system. He moved from Saint-Etienne’s under-19 side to the club’s reserve team in January 2017, then joined Nancy in July 2019.

Versailles are competing in Ligue 3 during the 2026-27 season. Rocha Santos has joined the squad at the start of his spell with the club and has not yet made an appearance in the competition.

The Cape Verde international was born in Sao Vicente and has represented his country while building a club career across France, Belgium and Cyprus. His latest move keeps him in France, where he has previously played for Saint-Etienne B, AS Nancy, Paris 13 Atletico and FC Rouen 1899.

Rocha Santos has now completed his free-agent move to FC Versailles, becoming a Ligue 3 player for the 2026-27 season.
