Ilaix Moriba opened his account for the 2026/27 campaign as Celta Vigo beat Racing Santander 5-0 in the seventh round of Liga on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Guinea international started the match and struck shortly before half-time. Moriba converted Miguel Roman’s assist in the 43rd minute to put Celta 2-0 ahead and register his first goal of the season.
The goal comes as Moriba continues his spell with the Spanish club. The midfielder is currently under contract with Celta Vigo until June 2029, reflecting the club’s confidence in his ability.
His market value is currently estimated at 15m euros by Transfermarkt. Moriba will now hope his first goal of the campaign leads to a run of strong performances and helps him establish himself further in Celta Vigo’s midfield.
