Marseille monitor Nuremberg forward Mohamed Ali Zoma after impressive start

Olympique de Marseille are keeping a close watch on Nuremberg forward Mohamed Ali Zoma as they consider options to strengthen their attack.

The 22-year-old Italian striker, who is of Ivorian origin, has made a notable start to the season in Germany’s second division, scoring six goals in his first six league appearances.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Marseille are monitoring Zoma’s progress, although the French club have not yet made a concrete move for the player.

Zoma made an immediate impact on the opening matchday by scoring a hat-trick against Dynamo Dresden. His performances have since attracted growing attention, with a number of European clubs following his development.

The forward is under contract with Nuremberg until June 2029, giving the German club a strong position as interest in him increases.

Marseille are not the only club understood to be interested in Zoma. Konur reports that Stuttgart and West Ham United are also monitoring the young striker.

For now, the situation remains at the observation stage for Olympique de Marseille. The club are assessing Zoma’s progress without having submitted an offer, and it remains unclear whether they will decide to act in the coming weeks.

Transfermarkt values the player at about 8 million euros. That figure could rise quickly if he maintains his current scoring rate, while his long-term contract provides Nuremberg with further protection.

Zoma’s valuation could make him an accessible target for several European sides. Marseille, who must operate within financial constraints and assess each investment carefully, could view the forward as a potentially worthwhile option.
