Monza striker Amir Abu Al-Ezz named in Egypt squad for Switzerland youth tournament

Monza striker Amir Abu Al-Ezz has been included in the final Egypt youth national team squad selected by manager Hussein Abdel Latif for the UEFA Friendship Tournament in Switzerland.

The tournament will take place from 24 September to 3 October and will feature four matches for Egypt. They will face Colombia, England and South Korea, with a further fixture to be played in the final stage of the friendly league.

Abdel Latif had previously announced a provisional squad before confirming his final selection.

Egypt’s final squad

Goalkeepers: Malek Amr (Zamalek), Mohamed Obaid (Al Ahly), Abdel Aziz Mahmoud (Pharco).

Defenders: Adam Youssef (Al Ahly), Mohamed El-Sayed “El Diesel” (Al Ahly), Mohamed Sabry (Zamalek), Abdullah Amr (ENPPI), Adel Alaa (Ghazl El Mahalla), Amir Hassan (N.E.C. Nijmegen).

Midfielders: Ahmed Safwat (Zamalek), Omar Abdel Rahim (Al Ahly), Seif Karim (Al Ahly), Youssef Abdullah (Al Ahly), Mohamed Gamal (ENPPI), Daniel Tamer (ZED FC), Ahmed Bashir (Ceramica Cleopatra), Mohannad Magdy (ENPPI), Ziad Saudi (Pyramids), Ahmed Safwat (Zamalek).

Forwards: Adham Haseeb (Zamalek), Khaled Mahmoud (Al Ahly), Amir Abu Al-Ezz (Monza).

Egypt finished third at the Africa youth tournament held in Morocco last June.

The team is also preparing for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from 19 November to 13 December 2026.

Egypt have been drawn in Group A alongside Qatar, Namaa and Greece.

The Switzerland tournament will provide Abdel Latif’s side with further competitive games before their World Cup campaign begins. The squad includes players from a number of Egyptian clubs, as well as Abu Al-Ezz from Italian side Monza and Amir Hassan from Dutch club N.E.C. Nijmegen.
