Al Ahly claimed their largest-ever victory over Zamalek with a 6-0 win in the second round of the Egyptian Women’s Football League.
The match was played at Zamalek Club, where Al Ahly produced a dominant performance to secure a landmark result in the rivalry.
Nadine Ghazi scored a hat-trick, while Awa Kassit added two goals and Nour Youssef completed the scoring.
Zamalek have never beaten Al Ahly. The victory was Al Ahly’s fourth against their rivals, with the teams having drawn once in their previous meetings.
Masar also recorded a convincing win in the second round, defeating Rae 9-0.
The other results saw Wadi Degla beat Modern Sport 11-0, while El Masry won 7-1 away to SAK.
ZED recorded a 4-0 victory against Smouha and Palm Hills defeated El Zohour 2-0.
Masar lead the league table with six points, ahead of Al Ahly, Wadi Degla, El Masry, ZED, Al Mokawloon and National Bank on goal difference.
