Egypt’s youth team handed North Africa qualifying schedule

Egypt’s 2007-born youth team will begin their North Africa qualifying campaign against Libya on 24 September, with the tournament taking place in Ismailia from 21 September to 6 October 2026.

The competition will feature Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, with matches being played at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium and Ismailia Stadium.

Egypt will open their campaign against Libya on Thursday, 24 September, before sitting out the second round of fixtures.

Their next match will be against Tunisia on Wednesday, 30 September, followed by a meeting with Morocco on Saturday, 3 October.

Egypt will complete their schedule against Algeria on Tuesday, 6 October.

– Egypt v Libya Thursday, 24 September – Egypt v Tunisia Wednesday, 30 September – Egypt v Morocco Saturday, 3 October – Egypt v Algeria Tuesday, 6 October

The North Africa tournament will determine which teams progress to the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana, scheduled for February 2027.

Four teams from that tournament will then qualify for the Under-20 World Cup, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in May and June 2027.

The World Cup will feature 24 national teams.
