Comoros lose Rafiki Said and Myziane Maoulida before 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Comoros will be without captain Rafiki Said and forward Myziane Maoulida for the build-up to their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Both players are currently injured, leaving the Cœlacanthes without two of their main attacking options for the decisive meeting with Cameroon.

The absences are a major setback before Comoros’ difficult away trip to Garoua to face the Indomitable Lions. Said’s unavailability removes both his pace on the wing and his leadership on the pitch.

Maoulida’s omission is another significant blow, with the forward valued for his reliability in front of goal. His absence, alongside that of Said, has left Comoros’ attacking department considerably weakened.

The coaching staff must now completely revise their tactical plans before the trip to Cameroon, with the team’s usual attacking leaders unavailable for the crucial qualifier.
