CAF president Patrice Motsepe visits Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan

Confederation of African Football president Dr Patrice Motsepe has paid a courtesy visit to Tanzania’s Head of State, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, in Dar es Salaam.

During Thursday’s meeting, Dr Motsepe offered his condolences to President Suluhu following the death of her husband. He also conveyed sympathies from CAF and its 54 Member Associations.

The CAF president used the visit to brief President Suluhu on progress towards hosting the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027.

President Suluhu thanked Dr Motsepe for his visit and for the condolences. She also reaffirmed the Government of Tanzania’s commitment to delivering a successful TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027.

Earlier on Thursday, Dr Motsepe held talks with Tanzania Prime Minister Honourable Mwigulu Nchemba.

He was accompanied during the visit by CAF Vice Presidents Kurt Okraku and Faizel Sidat, Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu, Tanzania Football Federation President Wallace Karia and Tanzania Local Organizing Committee chairman Leodgar Tenga.

Senior members of the Tanzania Government also attended the meetings.
