Rafiki Saïd and Myziane Maoulida ruled out of Comoros AFCON qualifier

Comoros will be without captain Rafiki Saïd and striker Myziane Maoulida for their upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Cameroon after both players suffered injuries.

The absence of the two attacking players leaves the Coelacanths without two important options as they prepare for their trip to face the Indomitable Lions.

Saïd’s absence is particularly significant for the Comoros side because of the qualities he provides on the wing as well as his leadership within the team.

The captain is known for providing pace in attack, but his injury means the Comoros coaching staff will have to prepare for the Cameroon match without one of their main attacking outlets.

Maoulida will also miss the fixture after being ruled out through injury. The striker’s absence removes another important option from the Comoros attack, particularly because of his effectiveness in front of goal.
