UFOA-A U17: Gambia name starting XI for Liberia semi-final

Gambia have announced their starting line-up for Thursday’s UFOA-A U17 semi-final against Liberia at Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar.

The match will begin at 19:00 GMT on 17 September 2026, with a place in the final and qualification for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco at stake.

Gambia captain Omar Marong leads the side, with Omar Badjie, Mamadi Camara, Sharif Touray, Abdoulie Nyang, Alieu Saine and Assan Colley also named in the starting XI. Vanou Gomez starts in goal.

Gambia’s team is: Vanou Gomez, Ousman Tamba, Sanna Saidykhan, Faburama Jaiteh, Omar Marong (captain), Omar Badjie, Mamadi Camara, Sharif Touray, Abdoulie Nyang, Alieu Saine and Assan Colley.

The substitutes are Muhammed Trawally, Sheikh Ngum, Ebrima Kanyi, Adama Jeng, Muhammed Jatta, Lamin Fatty, Momodou Barry, Kemo Sanneh and Momodou Lamin Jatta.

Liberia’s line-up has not yet been announced.
