Ismaily suffer another defeat as Haras El Hodoud move top of Professional League

Ismaily’s difficult start to the Professional League season continued as they were beaten 2-0 by Haras El Hodoud in the fifth round.

The visitors secured victory at Ismailia Stadium through goals from Ahmed Farag and Omar El Saeed, leaving Ismaily with only two points from their opening five matches.

Haras El Hodoud moved temporarily to the top of the table on 13 points, while Ismaily remain second from bottom.

Elsewhere, Tersana defeated hosts El Dakhleya 2-1 in another fifth-round fixture.

Ramez Zidan and Omar Asalia scored for Tersana, who climbed to seventh place with eight points. They are level with Al-Mansoura and Maleya Kafr El Zayat, who also have eight points.

Al-Mansoura were held to a 1-1 draw by Team FC at Al-Mansoura Stadium.

The result left Team FC with a share of the points, while El Dakhleya remain 16th on three points.

Tanta also claimed a narrow victory, beating El Nasr 1-0. Mohamed Shika scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot.

Tanta moved up to 10th place with seven points, overtaking El Nasr, who remain on six points.

The fifth round will conclude on Friday with six matches.

Pharco will face Mega Sport, while Proxy play Maleya Kafr El Zayat. La Viena will meet Masar in another fixture.

Baladiyat El Mahalla host Ismaili Electricity, El Sekka El Hadid face Telecom Egypt, and Dayrout take on El Entag El Harby.
