Senegalese midfielder Amath Dione has left Be Sport Academy to join Croatian club NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.

The young midfielder will continue his development in Europe after several years with Be Sport, moving to Zagreb to play for Lokomotiva’s Under 19 side.

Dione made an impression during his final season at Be Sport, producing a series of strong attacking numbers in the regional league.

The midfielder featured in 10 matches last season and scored four goals while also providing four assists.

Those figures placed Dione among Be Sport’s top five scorers during the campaign and helped underline his contribution to the team.

His move to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb now gives the Senegalese youngster the opportunity to continue his development in a different football environment.

Dione will link up with Lokomotiva’s U19 team, where he will continue to gain experience as he takes the next step in his career.

The transfer brings an end to a period of several years at Be Sport Academy, where Dione developed before making the move to Europe.

His performances last season provided a strong platform for the next stage of his career. Across his 10 regional league appearances, he found the net four times and created four goals for his team-mates.

That combination of goals and assists saw him finish among Be Sport’s top five scorers and highlighted his attacking contribution from midfield.

Dione will now look to build on that form with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb’s Under 19 team.

The move also represents a fresh challenge for the young Senegalese player as he adapts to his new surroundings in Zagreb.

After spending several years at Be Sport Academy, Dione’s next chapter will begin with Lokomotiva, where he will continue working towards his development in European football.
