Europa League Thursday fixtures: Juventus and Marseille begin campaigns

The opening round of the Europa League continues on Thursday with nine matches, including Besiktas against Marseille and Juventus’ meeting with NEC.

The first matchday began on Wednesday and concludes with a full evening programme. Marseille and Juventus, both regular participants in the UEFA Champions League, begin their campaigns in Europe’s second-tier club competition.

Marseille face Besiktas in their opening fixture, while Juventus play NEC. Both clubs will be looking to make a strong start after dropping into the Europa League.

There are several other notable matches on Thursday. Real Sociedad host Bournemouth, Celtic welcome Ferencvaros and Crystal Palace take on Lech Poznan after an impressive Premier League season.

The fixtures are split across two kick-off times, with two matches beginning at 16:45 and seven scheduled for 19:00.
