Paris St-Germain remain interested in Victor Osimhen and could make another attempt to sign the Nigerian striker after Galatasaray rejected an initial approach.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray after leaving Napoli and has quickly become an important part of the Turkish club’s attack. According to Turkish publication Fanatik, PSG continue to monitor the situation and have not abandoned their interest in the Nigeria international.

The French champions had previously made enquiries about Osimhen when he was still at Napoli. However, the transfer fee requested by the Italian club prevented the move from progressing at the time.

PSG have since returned to the possibility of signing the striker, with reports suggesting that the club has renewed its interest in the 27-year-old.

Galatasaray, however, turned down an initial approach from the French club. That response has not ended PSG’s pursuit, with Fanatik reporting that the Paris side could return with another proposal when the timing is considered appropriate.

Osimhen’s performances for Galatasaray have added further interest to his situation.

The striker has made four appearances for the Turkish club since the start of the season and has already recorded four goals and two assists.

His six attacking contributions in those matches have underlined his importance to Galatasaray and kept attention on him from clubs elsewhere in Europe.

PSG are therefore continuing to watch developments rather than immediately ending their pursuit following Galatasaray’s response.

The French club’s next move could depend on whether the Turkish side’s demands can be met. Galatasaray’s position remains an important factor in determining whether another offer can lead to negotiations.

Osimhen’s strong start to the season could also increase the competition surrounding his future. His goals and assists have made him a key figure for Galatasaray, while his performances continue to attract attention from elsewhere.

The Nigerian’s move to Galatasaray followed his spell with Napoli, where he had already established himself as one of Europe’s leading attacking players.

For PSG, the previous attempt to explore a deal did not result in a transfer, but the club’s interest has continued.

Fanatik’s report suggests that Paris are prepared to wait rather than abandon the possibility of signing the striker.

A future offer would still have to satisfy Galatasaray, with the Turkish club’s response likely to determine whether discussions can progress.

European competition could also become a factor as the season develops, potentially making negotiations more complicated.

For now, Osimhen remains focused on his role at Galatasaray, where he has made an immediate impact with four goals and two assists in his first four matches.

PSG, meanwhile, continue to monitor the situation and could make another approach if they believe the conditions are right to pursue a deal.
