Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushing De Reuck scored as Simba SC defeated Azam 2-0 to preserve their perfect record in the Premier League.
The victory gave Steve Barker’s side six wins from six league matches and inflicted Azam’s first defeat of the season.
De Reuck broke the deadlock in the 59th minute before Clatous Chama doubled Simba’s advantage nine minutes later.
Simba remain second in the table on 18 points, level with Young Africans. However, Manqoba Mngqithi’s side lead the standings on goal difference.
Young Africans also maintained their 100% record with a 1-0 victory over Geita Gold on Tuesday, despite playing with 10 men from the 19th minute.
Stephane Aziz Ki was sent off before Oumar Camara scored the decisive goal in the 55th minute.
The result gave Mngqithi’s team their sixth win in six Premier League matches.
