Barcelona name 23-man squad for Racing Santander as Felix targets sixth straight win

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has named a 23-man squad for Wednesday evening’s La Liga meeting with Racing Santander as his side aim to maintain their perfect start to the season.

Rony Bardghji and Frenkie de Jong remain absent, but Barcelona’s leading players are included for the game at Spotify Camp Nou. The squad was announced on the club’s official website.

Barcelona’s squad is:

Juan Garcia, Joao Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsi, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Pedri, Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Xavi Espart, Wojciech Szczesny, Karim Adeyemi, Andreas Christensen, Rodrygo, Nico Gordon, Gerard Martin, Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal, Jules Kounde, Eric Garcia, Dominik Livakovic and Hamza Abdelkarim.

The match is scheduled to begin at 21:30 Spain time on Wednesday, with Barcelona seeking a sixth consecutive league victory and a maximum return of 18 points from 18.

Flick’s team moved three points clear at the top of the table after their most recent victory, a 4-2 win against Levante. Lamine Yamal scored twice in that match, while Xavi Espart and Karim Adeyemi also found the net.

Barcelona have scored 21 goals in their opening five matches of the campaign, underlining the attacking strength they have shown since the start of the season. Victory against Racing Santander would allow them to extend that run and preserve their three-point advantage over Real Madrid.

The meeting at Spotify Camp Nou will therefore give Barcelona the opportunity to continue their unbeaten opening and complete a sixth successive win in La Liga.
