Omar Marmoush’s wait for a goal has extended to 125 days after the Egypt international completed Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 defeat by Liverpool in the English League Cup.
Marmoush played the entire match but was unable to score as Liverpool ended Tottenham’s involvement in the competition.
The forward has now gone 125 days without finding the net for either Manchester City, his former club, Tottenham Hotspur or Egypt.
That run covers 15 appearances for the two clubs and the national team.
Marmoush joined Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester City a few weeks ago, but has yet to end his scoring drought since the move.
Tottenham Hotspur have also struggled for results in the Premier League, losing to Newcastle and Brentford while drawing with Everton and Nottingham Forest.
Their fifth league-round fixture is against Aston Villa.
