Tottenham Hotspur ended their goal drought for the season when Conor Gallagher scored against Liverpool in the EFL Cup.
Gallagher headed Tottenham’s first goal of the campaign in the 69th minute of their match against Liverpool, bringing an end to a run of 344 minutes without scoring in all competitions.
The goal was Tottenham’s first since their victory over Charlton in the second round of the EFL Cup. Their previous goal had come in the 85th minute of that match.
Tottenham had also gone three consecutive Premier League matches without scoring this season. They suffered defeats by Newcastle and Brentford, while drawing with Everton and Nottingham.
Despite Gallagher’s goal, Tottenham were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool and were eliminated from the EFL Cup.
Their next fixture is against Aston Villa in the fifth round of the Premier League.
