Juventus, Atletico Madrid eye Arsenal outcast Noni Madueke in loan swoop

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has reportedly emerged as a loan target for European heavyweights Juventus and Atletico Madrid after struggling for regular playing time at the Emirates.

The 24-year-old only joined Arsenal from London rivals Chelsea last summer in a deal reported to be worth £52 million.

However, Madueke has found it difficult to establish himself as a regular under Mikel Arteta, with his limited involvement this season raising questions over his immediate future.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are prepared to provide the England international with an opportunity to revive his fortunes away from north London.

Madueke has made 47 appearances for Arsenal since his move from Chelsea, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.

His lack of Premier League involvement this season, though, has been particularly striking.

The winger has played only 23 minutes in the competition so far, leaving him facing increased competition for a place in Arteta’s attacking plans.

Arteta not keen to lose Madueke

Despite Madueke’s limited opportunities, Arteta is reportedly not actively seeking to part ways with the former Chelsea player.

The Arsenal manager is understood to remain open to keeping Madueke within his squad, but his continued absence from the team could eventually force the club to consider a temporary departure.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are now reportedly monitoring the situation closely, with both clubs potentially offering Madueke the regular football he has struggled to secure at Arsenal.

A loan move could give the winger an opportunity to regain confidence, improve his match sharpness and demonstrate the form that persuaded Arsenal to invest heavily in him last summer.

Loan could include purchase option

The report also claims that any potential loan agreement could contain an option to buy.

That would allow either Juventus or Atletico Madrid to make Madueke’s move permanent if he impresses during his spell.

For Arsenal, such an arrangement could provide flexibility over a player who remains under contract but has yet to fully establish himself in Arteta’s plans.

Madueke’s situation is therefore likely to attract further attention as the season progresses, particularly if his opportunities remain limited.
