Ceramica Cleopatra have made the strongest start in their Egyptian Premier League history after collecting 12 points from their opening five matches of the 2026-27 season.
Ali Maher’s side have won four of those games and lost once, leaving them temporarily at the top of the table.
Ceramica Cleopatra are also the league’s leading scorers so far, with 10 goals from five matches – an average of two goals per game.
The club had never taken more than eight points from its first five fixtures since gaining promotion to the top flight. Their current tally therefore represents their best start since reaching the Egyptian Premier League.
Ceramica Cleopatra opened the campaign with a defeat by newly promoted Al Qanah before responding with victories over Al Ittihad Alexandria, Modern Sport, Smouha and, most recently, National Bank of Egypt.
Their points totals after five matches in each season since promotion are:
– 2020-21: 8 points – 2021-22: 8 points – 2022-23: 6 points – 2023-24: 4 points – 2024-25: 8 points – 2025-26: 7 points – 2026-27: 12 points
National Bank of Egypt will face a difficult sixth-round fixture against Pyramids FC after the international break.
