Al Hilal appoint Nawaf bin Saad as first chairman under Alwaleed bin Talal

Al Hilal have appointed Prince Nawaf bin Saad as chairman of the club company following the completion of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s takeover.

The Saudi club announced on its official website that Prince Nawaf will lead the company’s board, continuing the role he began last year. Abdulmajeed bin Ahmed Al-Haqbani has been named vice-chairman.

The appointments were confirmed after the General Assembly of Al Hilal Club Company held its first meeting on Thursday since Kingdom Holding Company formally completed its acquisition of a 70% stake.

Yasser bin Sulaiman Al-Dawood, Nawaf bin Bandar Al-Tamimi, Adel bin Abdulaziz Al-Abdulsalam and Khalid bin Rafiq Kreidieh have also been appointed to the club company’s board of directors.

Kingdom Holding Company, which is owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, signed a binding agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund to acquire 70% of Al Hilal in April. The takeover was officially completed last week.
