Hamdallah ruled out of Al Hilal clash, says Al Taawoun manager

Al Taawoun manager Zarko Lazetic has confirmed that striker Abdulrazzak Hamdallah will miss Saturday’s Roshn Saudi League match against Al Hilal because of injury.

Al Hilal will travel to face Al Taawoun at the home side’s stadium in Buraidah in the seventh round of the league.

Speaking at his pre-match news conference, comments reported by Saudi newspaper Al Youm, the Serbian manager said Hamdallah would not be available for the fixture.

The Morocco international suffered a hamstring injury during Al Taawoun’s goalless draw with Al Fateh last Saturday in the fifth round of the Roshn Saudi League.

Hamdallah subsequently missed Al Taawoun’s surprise 1-0 defeat by Al Hazem on Tuesday, which came in the sixth round of the Saudi league.

The striker’s absence will continue against Al Hilal, although previous media reports have suggested he could return for Al Taawoun’s meeting with Omani side Al Nahdah on 16 September in the AFC Champions League Two.

Hamdallah joined Al Taawoun from Al Shabab during the summer transfer window. He has made six appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
