Barcelona begin talks to extend Gerard Martin’s contract with €100m release clause

Barcelona have opened preliminary discussions over a new contract for Spanish full-back Gerard Martin, despite his current deal running until the summer of 2028.

The club are pleased with Martin’s recent development and performances and want to strengthen his position within the squad. As part of the proposed agreement, Barcelona would increase his release clause to €100m and improve his salary.
