Youssef En-Nesyri targets Roshn Saudi League title after scoring twice for Al-Ittihad

Youssef En-Nesyri says Al-Ittihad are determined to win the Roshn Saudi League title this season after his two goals helped them beat Al-Faisaly 3-1.

Al-Ittihad secured a convincing victory away from home on Friday, with the match played at Al Majma’ah Sports City Stadium in the seventh round of the 2026-2027 Roshn Saudi League campaign.

Morocco striker En-Nesyri was central to the result, scoring both of his side’s goals with assists from Nigeria forward George Ilenikhena.

Speaking to Thamanya after the final whistle, En-Nesyri said the conditions had made the match difficult for both teams.

“It was a very difficult game for us and for them because of the weather and the humidity,” he said. “But I am proud of the players and the fans who were there with us. I thank them for their support.”

En-Nesyri said his goals reflected the importance of being ready to contribute whenever his team needs him, while stressing that Al-Ittihad must maintain a steady approach in their pursuit of the championship.

“You have to be present when the team needs you,” he said. “We have to take it one step at a time so that we can win the title.”

The forward also thanked the supporters for their backing and promised to continue finding the net, although he insisted that the team’s success remained the priority.

“I thank the fans for their support and wish them all the best,” En-Nesyri added. “I hope they continue to support us in the coming period. I promise them goals, but the most important thing is for the team to win.”

En-Nesyri later repeated his pride in his team-mates and called for Al-Ittihad to build on their performance.

“I am proud of the players,” he said. “When the team needs you, you have to be there. God willing, we will continue at this level and, hopefully, win the title this season.”
