CAF Confederation Cup: ASKO de Kara take first-half lead against AS Zam

ASKO de Kara lead AS Zam 1-0 at half-time in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round tie on Sunday.

The Kondonas made the perfect start when Selyane Raib scored in the second minute. ASKO controlled much of the opening half after taking the lead and created several clear chances, but could not add a second goal.

AS Zam were repeatedly put under pressure by ASKO’s attacking play, although they managed to hold firm until the interval. The Togolese side will need to be more clinical after the break if they are to extend their advantage.

ASKO had already taken a major step towards qualification in the first leg, securing a 5-0 away victory. Their latest lead leaves the Togolese club in a strong position to reach the next round.
