Inter Milan monitor Cagliari teenager Paul Mendy after breakthrough display

Inter Milan are closely tracking Cagliari’s emerging young players, with 19-year-old Senegalese forward Paul Mendy attracting particular interest.

According to Pasquale Guarro, Mendy and Alessandro Roman are among the Cagliari players being monitored by the Nerazzurri. An Inter scout was present at the New Balance Arena for Cagliari’s match against Atalanta to assess Mendy’s progress at first hand.

Mendy made a strong impression during the game, scoring the goal that put Cagliari ahead. His performance further highlighted the qualities that had already caught the attention of observers and ensured he did not go unnoticed by the Inter representative in the stands.

The forward has also been praised by Pape Ndoffene Fall, who described him as a “diamond to be polished” after his latest display for Cagliari.

Inter are understood to appreciate Mendy’s developing profile and the potential he could offer in the future. The Senegal international has a solid foundation but retains significant room for improvement, making him an attractive long-term prospect for the Milan club.
