Chelsea plan January move for Roma midfielder Manu Kone

Chelsea are reportedly ready to revive their pursuit of Manu Koné when the January transfer window opens after Roma rejected a €60 million offer during the summer.

The midfielder has emerged as one of the London club’s main midfield targets, with their interest showing no sign of fading.

Chelsea pushed hard to complete a deal before the previous deadline but failed to convince Roma to approve the transfer. The Italian club remain reluctant to lose the 25-year-old, who has become an important figure in their squad since moving to Serie A.

The Blues are still searching for additional midfield quality after missing out on Monaco’s Lamine Camara. That setback could encourage Chelsea to return with a stronger proposal for Kone in January.
