Ghana’s Black Princesses seek victory against France at U20 Women’s World Cup

Ghana U20 women’s national team head coach Charles Sampson says the Black Princesses are determined to dominate France and secure victory in their final Group C match at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Sampson believes his players are ready for the decisive encounter after a positive training session, with Ghana needing another strong performance as they seek to progress from the group stage.

The Ghana coach says the team’s preparations have focused on the tactical approach needed to overcome France, while the players have regained their energy following their previous matches.

“It was good. The energy was up again. The girls are ready. This practice is just tactical as to how we want to play. Pressure and what it entails that we know already, and that’s what we have always been preparing to do. So now it’s just up to us to go out and deliver. We hoping and praying that it becomes our day tomorrow. Expectation is to be able to dominate and win the game,” he told the GFA Media Team.

Black Princesses bounce back against South Korea

Ghana opened their Group C campaign with a 3-0 defeat by Ecuador, putting pressure on the Black Princesses to respond in their second game.

They produced the required reaction by beating South Korea 3-1, giving the team renewed confidence heading into their final group fixture.

The Black Princesses will meet France on Saturday, September 12, with Sampson targeting another positive result to keep Ghana’s hopes of progressing in the competition alive.
