CAF Champions League: Djibril Ouattara double sends APR FC through

APR FC overturned a first-leg deficit to reach the next round of the CAF Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Aigles du Congo on Friday.

The Rwandan side had lost 1-0 in the first leg of the preliminary round, but recovered in emphatic fashion in the return match.

Burkina Faso international and APR FC captain Cheick Djibril Ouattara was central to the comeback, scoring twice to put his side in control.

All three Burkinabe players in the APR FC squad Ouattara, Madou Zon and Memel Raouf Dao started the match.

The result secures APR FC’s progress and extends the club’s African campaign.
