Champions League: Courtois and Raphinha named in 11-player team of the week

UEFA has announced its team of the week for the opening round of the Champions League league phase, with 11 players from 11 different clubs selected.

The first round of league-phase matches was played across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. No club provided more than one player for the chosen XI.

The team is:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid)

Defenders: Sergino Dest (PSV Eindhoven), Marc Bartra (Real Betis), Pau Torres (Aston Villa), Archie Brown (Fenerbahce)

Midfielders: Michael Olise (Bayern Munich), Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal), Mario Baturina (Como), Ferran Torres (Paris Saint-Germain)

Forwards: Raphinha (Barcelona), Ermedin Demirovic (Stuttgart)
