Juan Cuadrado returns to Colombia with free transfer to Millonarios

Millonarios have signed Colombia international Juan Cuadrado on a free transfer, bringing the 38-year-old back to domestic football for the first time in 14 years.

Cuadrado left Colombia to pursue a career in Europe after beginning his football journey with Independiente Medellin.

The midfielder has since played for Fiorentina and Chelsea, before spells with Juventus, Inter, Atalanta and most recently Pisa. His latest club was listed as Pisa before his move to Millonarios.

Cuadrado has also represented Colombia at two World Cups, but was not included in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.

His return to the Colombian league comes at the same time as fellow Colombia international James Rodriguez has moved to Atletico Nacional.

Millonarios are currently fourth in the Clausura phase of the Colombian league after nine matches. The top eight teams will progress to the final stage, where they will compete for the league title.
