Senegal U17 thrash Sierra Leone 5-0 to maintain perfect start

Senegal U17 continued their impressive run at the Tournoi UFOA-A U17 Senegal 2026 with a convincing 5-0 victory over Sierra Leone at Stade Lat-Dior in Thies on Thursday.

The result came in the second round of Group A and followed Senegal’s 4-0 win against Mauritania in their opening match. The Lionceaux have now recorded two emphatic victories in the competition.

Senegal took control in the 15th minute when Souleymane Commissaire Faye opened the scoring. Cheikh Omar Sy doubled their advantage in the 31st minute before adding his second goal six minutes later to give the hosts a commanding 3-0 lead.

The home side continued to dominate after half-time, with Amadou Assane Seck making it 4-0 in the 50th minute. Serigne Aliou Diop completed the scoring in the 81st minute to seal another comprehensive win for Senegal.

The Lionceaux will next face Gambia, who also won on Thursday, beating Mauritania 3-1.
