Kylian Mbappe wins Real Madrid’s Mahou Five Stars award and targets trophy-laden season

Kylian Mbappe has been named Real Madrid’s Mahou Five Stars player of the month for August after scoring four goals in the club’s opening three league matches.

The France captain started all three games and played a decisive role in Real Madrid’s perfect start, helping them move to the top of the early standings.

Mbappe collected the award at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground before speaking to the club’s official cameras. The forward said he believed August represented only the beginning of what he hopes will be a highly successful campaign.

“We started the season well and I hope we can continue in the same way on Saturday,” Mbappe said, in comments reported by Spanish media. “I think there are many successes we can achieve this season.”

The 26-year-old also spoke about his personal motivation and his determination to deliver for the club.

“I am very keen to help the team and prove that we can achieve great things this year,” he said. “I am always happy to play here. I know it is a great honour to wear this shirt.”

The award recognises Mbappe’s influential contribution during the opening month of the campaign, when his goals helped Real Madrid maintain a perfect league record.

He also highlighted the atmosphere within the squad following a summer transfer window that brought new players into Jose Mourinho’s team.

“It is always good to see new faces,” Mbappe said. “They are eager to serve the club’s badge, Real Madrid. We made sure everyone adapted as smoothly as possible so that we could all move in the same direction.”

Mbappe’s early form and his comments reflect the growing understanding within the squad, with the French forward leading Real Madrid’s attack at the start of a season in which the club is aiming to compete for major honours.
