Morocco extends 2026/27 transfer window to September 25

Moroccan professional football clubs have been given extra time to complete their summer recruitment after the National Professional Football League (LNFP) extended the 2026/27 transfer window until September 25.

The LNFP announced the decision on Wednesday, confirming that the registration and transfer of players in Morocco’s professional competitions will remain open until the revised deadline.

The extension gives clubs across Morocco additional time to conclude negotiations, complete incoming and outgoing transfers and strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.

Moroccan clubs given more time for recruitment

Under the revised schedule, clubs competing in Morocco’s professional football competitions can continue their transfer activity until September 25, subject to meeting the legal and regulatory requirements governing player registrations.

The additional period could prove valuable for teams still looking to fill gaps in their squads, particularly those involved in domestic and African competitions during the 2026-27 season.

Several Moroccan clubs have been active in the transfer market during the summer as they prepare for the new campaign, with teams seeking reinforcements in different areas of their squads.

The extension also allows clubs more time to complete the administrative procedures required to register newly signed players, provided all relevant regulations are met.

LNFP gives no reason for deadline extension

The revised deadline comes as Moroccan clubs continue to assess their squads and make final adjustments before competitive action begins.

Teams that have not yet completed their recruitment plans can now use the additional days to finalise outstanding negotiations and potential deals.

The LNFP did not provide further details on the reasons behind the decision to extend the transfer window.

Moroccan professional clubs will therefore have until September 25 to complete their summer transfer operations, with all deals remaining subject to the conditions set by the league and applicable football regulations.
