Anthony Martial receives three European offers after becoming a free agent

Anthony Martial has received three offers from European clubs after leaving Monterrey and becoming available on a free transfer.

The former Manchester United striker, who is 30, is now able to sign for any club without a fee after his departure from the Mexican side.

Spanish club Malaga have made an offer for Martial, according to Foot Mercato. The report also says two French clubs are negotiating with the France international, although their identities have not been disclosed.

Martial had been linked with moves to either Nice or Lens, but both clubs were reportedly ruled out because the player was not guaranteed a regular starting place.

Everton have also abandoned their recent attempt to sign Martial.

The forward spent nine years at Manchester United after joining the club from Monaco in 2015. He scored 90 goals in 317 appearances for the Old Trafford side before leaving in 2024.

Martial subsequently played for AEK Athens in Greece and Monterrey in Mexico. He has not played since March and is now free to move to another club without a transfer fee.

His next destination remains undecided, with Malaga and two unnamed French clubs currently understood to be among the sides interested in securing his signature.
