Jamal Arago, the Liberian-Ghanaian centre-back at Al-Ta’awon, has been linked with a move to Indian club Samaleswari SC.

The 33-year-old defender joined Al-Ta’awon from Kosovo side SC Gjilani on 26 September 2025, completing the move as a free agent. The proposed switch would take him from the Libyan Premier League to Samaleswari SC, although there is no indication that a transfer has been completed.

Arago began his senior career with Greek club Atromitos after progressing through the club’s under-20 side. He later spent much of his career in Kosovo, representing KF Gjilani, FC Prishtina, FC Drita and SC Gjilani. His career also includes spells in Finland, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Libya.

He has made 107 appearances in Kosovo’s top flight, scoring once and providing four assists. Arago has also played 17 times in the Saudi First Division League and 15 times in the Libyan Premier League.

His market value is listed at €100,000. Al-Ta’awon remain his current club, with the reported interest from Samaleswari representing the latest possible move in a career that has included several transfers between European, Middle Eastern and North African leagues.
