Pyramids have recalled Mostafa Ziko and Mohamed Hamdy to their squad for Wednesday’s Egyptian Premier League meeting with El Gouna, with the latter included in the league squad for the first time since recovering from a serious knee injury.
Pyramids will face El Gouna at Air Defense Stadium at 17:00 local time on Wednesday in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Hamdy suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury while representing Egypt at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. His return to the squad marks his first involvement for Pyramids in the league since completing his recovery.
Ziko has also been brought back into the group, while Pyramids have confirmed the returns of Fakhory and Mahmoud Gad. Youssef Ibrahim Obama is absent from the squad.
Pyramids have temporarily dropped to second place in the table after collecting nine points from their opening matches. Zamalek moved to the top on 10 points after defeating Abu Qir Fertilizers.
El Gouna are 16th with two points, having drawn twice and lost once.
