Dortmund and Villarreal confirm starting line-ups for Champions League clash

Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal have announced their starting line-ups for their UEFA Champions League meeting at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.

Dortmund will start with Kobel in goal, while Anton, Nmecha, Gadou, Svensson and Ryerson make up the defensive selection. The German side have also included Guirassy and Beier in their attacking line-up.

Karetsas, Sabitzer and Veerman complete Dortmund’s starting XI. Bellingham, Chukwuemeka and Nwaneri are among the players named on the substitute bench.

Villarreal have selected Gulacsi as their goalkeeper. Their defensive group consists of Mourino, Pau Navarro, Renato Veiga and S. Cardona.

Saliba, Gueye and Santi C. V. are listed in midfield for Villarreal, with Buchanan, Mikautadze and Oluwaseyi forming the attacking trio.

The confirmed teams mean both clubs have now settled on their selections for the match, which will begin at Signal Iduna Park at 19:00 GMT. Dortmund’s team includes a five-player defensive unit behind a midfield of Karetsas, Sabitzer and Veerman, with Guirassy and Beier leading the attack.

Villarreal’s line-up follows a similar structure, with four defenders protected by Saliba, Gueye and Santi C. V. in midfield. Buchanan, Mikautadze and Oluwaseyi will provide the Spanish side’s attacking options from the start.

Dortmund’s substitutes include Bellingham, Chukwuemeka and Nwaneri, while the announced Villarreal line-up identifies the players selected to begin the match.
