Suleman Sani set to swap Leipzig for Saudi Arabia

Suleman Sani is poised to leave RB Leipzig for Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah, bringing a brief and frustrating spell in Germany to an end.

According to Bild, the transfer has already been completed, although official confirmation from the clubs is still pending.

Leipzig could receive up to €8 million for the 20-year-old right winger, representing a potential profit only months after his arrival. The Bundesliga side signed Sani from Slovak club AS Trenčín for €5 million during the previous winter transfer window, hoping he would follow a similar development path to Yan Diomande.

That breakthrough never arrived. The Nigerian failed to make a single appearance for Leipzig’s senior team and now appears ready for a fresh start in the Saudi Pro League. While he was seen as a promising long-term investment, the club have decided to move on quickly after he struggled to establish himself in the first-team picture.

For Al Qadsiah, the deal offers an opportunity to add a young, quick attacking player with room to develop. Sani will be keen to turn his move into regular senior football after a difficult few months in Leipzig.

The announcement is expected shortly, subject to the completion of final administrative steps.
