New Caledonia face China in historic first Women’s Under-20 World Cup appearance

New Caledonia will make history on Monday, 7 September 2026, when they face China in their opening Group F match at the Women’s Under-20 World Cup in Poland.

The Cagoues are appearing at this level for the first time, marking an unprecedented qualification for women’s football in New Caledonia. Having secured their place at the tournament, the team must now adapt to the demands of a global competition while making the most of an occasion that represents a major milestone for the country’s football.
