Agia Napa bring in Nigeria defender Odera Peter Ofornadu on free transfer
Nigeria centre-back Odera Peter Ofornadu has joined Agia Napa from fellow Cypriot second-tier club Digenis Morfou on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old has signed a contract with Agia Napa until 31 May 2027. He becomes part of a squad competing in Cyprus’ 2. Division after making the move on 7 September 2026.
Ofornadu spent the opening part of the 2026-27 campaign at Digenis Morfou, having joined the club from Spartakos without a fee on 1 July. His switch to Agia Napa keeps him in the same division and represents his latest move within Cypriot football.
The 1.90m defender has played primarily as a centre-back and is left-footed. His record in the 2. Division includes 50 appearances and one assist, while he has also featured in relegation and promotion play-offs. He has scored twice in 11 relegation play-off appearances.
Ofornadu’s competitive experience also includes three appearances in the Kypello Kyprou. He spent time with Digenis Morfou before moving on to Agia Napa, having previously represented Spartakos during the 2025-26 season.
Before joining Spartakos, the defender had been without a club. His earlier career in Cyprus included spells with Achyronas FC and Aris Limassol, as well as loan periods at EN Ypsona and PAEEK Kyrenia. He first moved to Aris Limassol from Right2Win SA in July 2022 on a free transfer.
At Aris, Ofornadu was loaned to PAEEK during the 2022-23 season and later spent the 2023-24 campaign with EN Ypsona. Both temporary spells ended with his return to Aris, before he left the club for Achyronas FC in July 2024 without a transfer fee.
He then joined Spartakos after a spell without a club and moved to Digenis Morfou at the start of the 2026-27 season. His career has therefore remained centred on Cyprus, where his latest contract takes him through the end of May 2027.
Ofornadu has now completed his free transfer from Digenis Morfou to Agia Napa.
