The opening leg of the CAF Champions League’s first preliminary round continues on Sunday with 13 fixtures, including appearances by continent heavyweights MC Alger, TP Mazembe, ASEC Mimosas and Simba SC.
MC Alger travel to Niamey to face Nigelec, while ASCK of Kara meet ASEC Mimosas in Lome in one of the day’s most eagerly anticipated matches.
The schedule also includes Medeama’s home game against TP Mazembe in Ghana, as well as UD Songo against Petro Atletico, Mighty Wanderers against Simba SC and Colombe’s meeting with Stade Malien.
The 13 matches will bring the first leg of the preliminary round close, with clubs across the continent competing to make progress in the CAF Champions League.
Sunday’s fixtures
The day begins at 11:30 when La Cure Waves host Orlando Pirates. The South African side will be followed in action by Gor Mahia, who play Pyramids FC at 12:00.
Two matches are scheduled for 13:00. Aigles du Congo face APR FC, while Mighty Wanderers take on Simba SC. Scottland FC also meet Nsingizini Hotspurs at that time, with UD Songo hosting Petro Atletico.
At 15:00, Colombe play Stade Malien and Medeama welcome TP Mazembe. Rangers International face AS Sobemap, while Wiliete are at home to Foresters.
ASCK and ASEC Mimosas meet at 15:30 in Lome, before Nigelec host MC Alger at the same time in Niamey.
The final match of the day is scheduled for 19:00, when MAS de Fes play Rahimo FC.
