Anderson Talisca is set to join Al Jazira after ending his contract with Fenerbahce by mutual agreement, according to reports.
The Turkish club confirmed the departure of the Brazilian midfielder on its official account on X, bringing an end to his time in Istanbul. Talisca joined Fenerbahce during the winter transfer window of the 2024-25 season.
In a statement, Fenerbahce said: “Anderson Talisca, who joined our squad during the mid-season break of the 2024-25 season, has had his contract terminated by mutual agreement.”
The club added: “We wish Talisca success in the next stage of his football career.”
Talisca is now reported to have reached an agreement with United Arab Emirates club Al Jazira, according to Transfermarkt, which cited journalist Resat Can Ozbudak. The 31-year-old is a former Al Nassr player and is expected to link up with fellow Brazilian Malcom at Al Jazira. Malcom previously played for Al Hilal.
The reported agreement would see Talisca sign a two-year contract, with Al Jazira holding an option to extend the deal by a further season.
Information cited in the report states that Talisca will receive a gross annual salary of slightly more than 10m euros at the UAE club. The move has not yet been completed, with a medical examination and the signing of the final contracts still required.
Talisca’s departure from Fenerbahce follows a brief spell with the Turkish club after his arrival midway through the 2024-25 campaign. The agreement to end his contract was reached by both parties, rather than through a unilateral termination.
The former Al Nassr forward’s next destination therefore appears to be Al Jazira, where his arrival would add another Brazilian player to a squad that already includes Malcom. The transfer will become official once the remaining formalities have been completed.
Al Jazira’s contract offer is understood to cover two seasons, while the additional year would depend on the extension option being exercised. The reported financial terms make the agreement one of the key details of the proposed move, although the transfer remains subject to Talisca passing his medical and putting pen to paper.
The report and related updates were also made available for wider discussion on the Kooora forums.
